Since San Francisco 49ers Quarterback Colin Kaepernick first sat during the national anthem to protest racial inequality, Baltimore Orioles outfielder Adam Jones was asked why a similar silent protest has yet to be made in Major League Baseball (MLB). He is quoted as stating “We already have two strikes against us already,’’ and also stated “so you might as well not kick yourself out of the game. In football, you can’t kick them out. You need those players. In baseball, they don’t need us. Baseball is a white man’s sport.’’
