UNIFYING LESSON PRINCIPLE:

People make agreements that they hope will last, but too often are broken, causing stress and dismay. Can anyone make an agreement that will not be broken? In the book of Isaiah, God promised an everlasting covenant that could never be broken.

CONCLUDING REFLECTION:

God is able to break the shackles of bondage and set people free. He can turn our situation of captivity into freedom. The power of God can shatter every stronghold that has been raised against us. Remember, our God is a God of deliverance. God takes sides, and God is on the side of those who are obedient to his Word.

PRAYER:

Heavenly Father, we thank you for being the God of liberation and compassion. May we rest in the assurance of your abiding presence and abounding love. Grant your servants the peace that surpasses all understanding. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.
