While sitting down with Ebro in the Morning on Tuesday, Chris Rock discussed a wealth of topics, from Atlanta being the “best show on television” to his shock and surprise at the Migos’ new album being so “funky” and Charlie Murphy’s legacy. One very brief but insightful chat was about how Rock is adjusting to life after divorce. In case you forgot, Rock split from wife Malaak Compton-Rock in 2014 (they finalized their split in 2016) after about 20 years together and has seemingly moved on to actress Megalyn Echikunwoke.

He hasn’t really talked much about the end of their marriage publicly, aside from briefly bringing it up in his current standup tour Total Blackout. But he was finally asked directly about it by co-host Peter Rosenberg and said the biggest change has been a lot more free time, specifically at home by himself, than expected.

Peter Rosenberg: I don’t know whether you’re talking about this or not — I assume you are on your tour. Are you being open about your family situation?

Chris Rock: Uh, a little bit. A little bit. Don’t come if you think I’m going to be bashing my ex.

Rosenberg: I was just going to ask how’s single life? What’s it like?
