Faith Walk: Trusting the Holy Spirit Through Life’s Challenges

Let me tell you—I love the Holy Spirit. Like, seriously. The Holy Spirit is the best snitch ever. I’m not even joking.
So, I’m in Atlanta right now, staying at my daughter Krista’s new place (yes, my baby got her own place—we’ll talk about that another time!). She mentioned the guest parking could be tricky, so I made sure to scan the little QR code to register my car.

Now here’s where it gets good. The Holy Spirit woke me up about 30 minutes before I was supposed to get up. I was like, “Lord, I could really use this sleep,” but something inside told me, get up. As I got dressed, a quiet voice nudged me: “You might have a boot on your car.” I know that sounds wild, but I’ve learned to listen to those little whispers.
Sure enough, I go outside—and what’s waiting for me? A bright orange boot on my tire. I laughed a little, shook my head, and called an Uber so I could still make it to the studio in time for Get Up Mornings.
But the morning wasn’t done trying me. My Uber driver was the sweetest man, but lawd was he driving slow. He had a lot to say, and bless his heart, he didn’t speak much English. And I’m in the back seat like, “Sir, I got to get to work!” It really felt like the enemy was throwing all kinds of delays my way.
Even when I got to the studio, the mic wasn’t working right. But guess what? I didn’t fall apart. I didn’t let the frustration take me out. I stayed calm. Why? Because the Holy Spirit gave me a heads-up. He didn’t show me the whole day, but He gave me enough to be prepared.

Sometimes, God won’t stop the chaos—but He’ll prepare you for it. And when you’re ready, you don’t have to lose your peace. You don’t have to spiral. You can say, “Alright, Lord, I see what this is. Let’s walk through it together.”
