Ava Duvernay’s star continues to shine all over Hollywood. Duvernay was tapped to direct Disney’s adaptation of the 1963 classic by Madeleine L’Engle A Wrinkle In Time and Dreamworks’ Intelligent Life.

The Black girl magic doesn’t stop there. Deadline reports, she is in negotiations to helm a sci-fi film that would star Lupita Nyong’o.

With #OscarsSoWhite exposing the limited opportunities for African-American filmmakers and actors/ actresses, it’s inspiring to see Ave kicking down the door with her immense talent.

Ava Duvernay and Ryan Coogler are proving what Blacks can do.
