We are now entering week 5 of the ransomware attack that has debilitated Baltimore City government City officials are expecting email accounts to be up and running by the weeks end, but still anticipate other systems being offline.

The cost? The city estimates 18 million dollars, but anticipates needing more funds.

The city says that while currently the situation is not “ideal”, at this point it is manageable. Mayor Young says “all city services remain operational. Baltimore is open for business.

Of the items that remain offline, included is water billing.

Hopefully the entire system will be up and running soon.
