At 12:45pm on September 19th, the H Street Community Development Corporation in Washington DC will honor Radio One Founder – Cathy Hughes – by naming the corner of 4th Street and H Street NE “Cathy Hughes Corner”. H Street was the first location for WOL-AM – the first station Ms Hughes owned. She bought the station in 1980 and started Radio One.
