UNIFYING LESSON PRINCIPLE:
People are looking for someone to help them endure life’s trials and temptations. Is there anyone who can show them how to endure? Because Jesus endured suffering and death, He is the model for disciples who choose to follow Him faithfully.
CONCLUDING REFLECTION:
As we focus our attention completely on Jesus Christ, we recognize that He endured the pain and death of the Cross for us. Looking to Him, we find strength in knowing that He is our great High Priest who has passed through the heavens. He now makes intercession for us. Secondly, believers are exhorted to persevere and not give in to the trials and tribulations of life. Thirdly, we are reminded that sometimes God uses our trials to discipline us. There are times when we can only learn some lessons through the pressures of tribulation and trials. Finally, we are reminded that we need one another, especially during times when we are weak. The strong are always called upon to bear the burdens of the weak.
PRAYER:
Dear God, thank you for the discipline you send into our lives. Thank you for the strength you give to persevere. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.
