Bishop T. D. Jakes may be the brother of Jesus Christ, according to singer-songwriter Tamar Braxton who jokingly made that claim when reflecting on her faith recently.
Braxton, the entertainer who also serves as a co-host on “The Real” talk show, is recovering after being hospitalized for suffering from two blood clots in her lungs. Despite her health issue, Braxton still found time to promote the new book, Faithing It, written by Bishop Jakes’ daughter, Cora Jakes-Coleman.
While the comedic entertainer recommended the book to her more than 2 million Instagram followers, she joked about the Jakes family being directly related to Jesus Christ in the process.
“I (love) this women she gets it!! I promise it’s like she’s Jesus granddaughter..,” Braxton wrote about Jakes-Coleman before referencing Bishop Jakes. “Well her daddy @bishopjakes is (His) brother so I guess that would make her his niece…. Anywhoo.. Get into #Faithingit and watch how things change.. If u let him #wonthedoit.”
