Reports say this Filipino priest was suspended for rolling through the center aisle of church during Mass on one. Singing hymns! The saints don’t look bothered by the looks of the video someone caught, but the Diocese of San Pablo in Laguna Province where it took place apparently didn’t think it was too cool.
“That was wrong,” the Diocese of San Pablo said in a statement, according to Business Insider. “The Eucharist demands utmost respect and reverence. It is the Memorial of the Lord’s Sacrifice. It is the source and summit of Christian life. It is the Church’s highest form of worship. Consequently, it is not a personal celebration where one can capriciously introduce something to get the attention of the people.”
