While we noted the other day that there would be fewer closures due to heat, there were closures today on this the first day of school due to heat. Ten Baltimore County schools closed today, along with 60 plus Baltimore City Schools scheduled to have early dismissals.
The National Weather Service on Monday issued a hazardous weather outlook for the Baltimore-Washington region. It stated that “a combination of heat and humidity may result in heat index values of around 105 Tuesday through Thursday.”

Campfield Early Learning Center
Catonsville Center for Alternative Studies
Patapsco Center for the Arts
