Unfortunate news to share this morning as Bishop Eddie Long has been reported dead. He was 63-years-old.
Bishop Long served as senior pastor of Georgia’s New Birth Missionary Baptist Church. He’d recently been recovering from a private fight with an “aggressive form of cancer,” according to a statement released by his church.

“I am confident through my belief in God that my husband is now resting in a better place,” his wife and First Lady Vanessa Long said. “Although, his transition leaves a voice for those of us who loved his dearly, we can celebrate and be happy for him, knowing he’s at peace.”
