Ravens WR Rashod Bateman Facing Family Violence Charges in Georgia

Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Rashod Bateman is facing family violence-related charges stemming from an alleged incident in Georgia in June, according to the Walton County Sheriff’s Office.
Bateman was booked into the Walton County jail on June 3 on charges of reckless conduct, battery and criminal damage to property, according to official records.
Details surrounding the alleged incident have not yet been released.
The Ravens confirmed they are aware of Bateman’s arrest and said the organization has remained in communication with him while also notifying the NFL.
“We are aware of the situation involving Rashod and have been in direct communication with him. We notified the league office and have been cooperating throughout the process,” Ravens Senior Vice President of Communications Chad Steele Sr. said in a statement. “As this is a pending legal matter, we will not have further comment.”
Bateman has been a member of the Ravens since the team selected him in the first round of the 2021 NFL Draft.
