A three-alarm fire caused an estimated $200,000 in damages after 14 homes were burned in the Highlandtown section of Baltimore on Tuesday morning (June 14).

Firefighters arrived to the 100 block of South Eaton Street around 3:45 a.m. to find three rowhomes up in flames. Despite the team’s efforts, the blaze spread consuming more than a dozen homes before it was extinguished around 5:30 a.m., officials said.

Volunteers from the American Red Cross of the Greater Chesapeake Region assisted  a total of 31 residents in recovery, the Red Cross said.

No one was injured and the cause of the combustion remains unknown.

Traffic was detoured due to the closure of South Eaton Street located between Lombard Street and Pratt Street.
