Two correctional officers have been suspended without pay after being charged with looting during the Baltimore riots surrounding the death of Freddie Gray. Officers Tamika Cobb, 29, and Kendra Richard, 28, were charged Wednesday with theft, second-degree burglary and fourth-degree burglary. The charges came following a tip on April 30 alleging the two officers were looting.
During the investigation detectives obtained Youtube video footage of rioters entering a 7-11 store located in the 300 block of W. Baltimore Street on April 25. The video showed the two officers leaving the store with merchandise.
